New tuition service
| Posted on Saturday, 15 November 2008 11:49PM | Our sister organisation Learn2 will be launching a literacy/maths tuition service from mid January 2009. This will be based at the Learn2 centre in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The service is based on a weekly 40 minute visit to the centre which is supplemented by short home based assignments. Students can enrol on either the English tuition or maths tuition course and can expect to pay less than £15 per week. Enrolment on a combined English/maths tuition course will cost less than £25 per week. Both the English & maths courses closely follow the national curicculum and will compliment the work performed by the child at school. There will be a one-off enrolment cost of £25 which will include an assessment to ensure that the child joins the programme at a stage that is appropriate to them. Booster sessions prior to SATs/GCSEs will also be available - further information to follow.
The tuition service is available to children of all ages and abilities from pre-school to year 11. Children with learning difficulties can continue to follow the dyslexia support route and when appropriate, transfer onto either or both the English/maths tuition programmes.
